TEHRAN, Sep. 15 (MNA) – Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani said the issue of access to military sites had been completely abolished.

In response to some statements made by foreign officials on the issue of access to Iran’s military centers within the JCPOA framework, Shamkhani said the Islamic Republic of Iran possess no undeclared nuclear activity in any geographical spot and the issues raised is the American media's exposure in a bid to abandon obligations and duties.

He added that no nuclear activity or research was being carried out in military centers of the Islamic Republic of Iran as confirmed by visits made by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

Leader’s advisor however noted that, in the country’s military centers, research was underway on conventional weapons, especially in the field of missiles in the framework of defense power generation and promotion of deterrence against foreign threats.

Shamkhani said, in the context of active implementation of inactive defense policy, a set of conventional research in the defense sector have been distributed across the country and will naturally remain hidden to foreigners.

He emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran will only act within the framework of agreements and instructions of the nuclear deal and will never accept further commitments.

Shamkhani underlined that US officials and the Zionist regime, through hypocrites and due to their illusions and with the aim of promoting Iranophobia, offer baseless assumption against the peaceful nuclear program of Iran.

He added that any comments on commitments needed to be examined by the IAEA, based on technical and legal approaches and without bias.

Iran’s Shamkhani stressed that there existed no obligation to reply to other claims raised outside of the accepted framework.

Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council added that the International Atomic Energy Agency, in the event of adequate and acceptable documentation, possesses several ways to overcome uncertainties, and the issue of access to military sites had become unnecessary and abolished.

At the end of his remarks, Ali Shamkhani stated “unproductive and pretentious behavior of Tramp government in fulfilling its commitment to the JCPOA, which is an active attempt to strike the international agreement, while further undermining the US position in the international community, will be undoubtedly accompanied by an appropriate response from the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
