TEHRAN, Sep. 11 (MNA) – Masoumeh Ebtekar, the Iranian Vice President for Women and Family Affairs, called for enhancing the role of women in promoting peace and security in the international arena.

The senior Iranian official made the remark on Monday addressing the joint strategy committee of Iran-Japan in Tehran. She was accompanied by Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs.

She underlined the necessity of holding more expert-level meetings on promoting entrepreneurship in areas of green industries and information technology.   

Later in the same meeting, four Iranian and Japanese experts formed a technical panel to deliver their experience and expertise in areas of enabling women, job-creation, and entrepreneurship in speeches under the titles of developing cooperation for increasing social contribution to non-governmental organizations (NGO), Women’s role in climate change, and developing women entrepreneurship.

Dr. Nobuo Tanaka, the President of Sasakawa Peace Foundation was also present in the meeting.
