“Our relations with Turkey has entered a new phase and in this trip we discussed Erdogan’s visit to Tehran,” said President Hassan Rouhani of the Islamic Republic of Iran, when questioned about his meeting with Turkish President Erdogan.
“In meeting with Turkish president, we reveied the new window opened upon bilateral relations of the two countries,” articulated the Iranian top executive, “a new area has been opened in military and security cooperation between the two countries.”
The Iranian President made the remark upon arrival to Mehrabad international Airport of Tehran where he was welcomed by his First-Veep Jahangiri, Innteligence Minister Alavi, Foreign Minister Zarif, and Leader’s aide Velayati.
Touching upon the title of the summit, science and technology, Rouhani said, “sicence and technology is of prime importance for the progress of countries, might of Islamic countries, and resolution of Islamic world problems.”
“Although there was not enough time to discuss the issue but all the participants reached the consensus that the displaced should be relieved and the Burmese government should be pressed to stop genocide,” said the Iranian president touching upon the emergency meeting of OIC on Rohingya Muslims held on the sidelines of the Astana Summit of science and technology.
