TEHRAN, Aug. 05 (MNA) – Second president of the Austrian National Council said Iran’s successful implementation of the nuclear deal was a “good response” to countries objecting to the international accord.

Karlheinz Kopf made the remarks in a meeting with Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani in Tehran on Saturday, a few hours before the swearing-in ceremony of President Hassan Rouhani.

During the meeting, the Austrian parliamentarian hailed Iran’s constructive approach during nuclear negotiations with the 5+1 group of countries, leading to the signing and later, the implementation of the JCPOA, saying “Iran has been implementing its end of the nuclear deal step by step with a calm demeanor and unaffected by disruptive behaviors of some countries.”

He further touched upon the current terrorist crises in the region and across the world, adding “the crises stem from the policies of certain countries which use terrorism as a despicable instrument to advance their goals.”

Iranian parliament speaker, for his part, thanked the Austrian government for its efforts toward expansion of banking relations between the two countries, which have in turn led to expansion of economic and trade transactions between the two sides.

Larijani also noted the security and terrorist crises in the region, adding “under the current circumstances, all countries in the world need to take wise decisions and make a unified front against terrorism.”

He further called upon the 5+1 world powers to stay committed to the nuclear deal and stop making troubles for the Islamic Republic.

Larijani further highlighted the role of Austria in the European Union, saying that the world today needs collective wisdom and more active role in the international scene from countries such as Austria.
