TEHRAN, Jun. 23 (MNA) – The Spokesman of Iran’s Foreign Ministry Bahram Ghasemi denounced the terrorist attack on Afghan city of Lashkar Gah and reassured the Afghans that Iran would stand by Afghanistan.

In addition to denouncing the savage act of terrorism, Bahram Ghasemi offered sympathies to the friendly people and government of Afghanistan along with the bereaved families of the latest terrorist attack.

In an attack on a bank in Lashkar Gah city of Helmand province on Thursday, the explosion of a car bomb outside a bank where people were lining to collect their salary killed around 29 and injured about 50 people.

“The terrorists and extremist groups have shown that, in a world where terrorism has turned to a trade, are committed to no basic humanistic or moral principles,” asserted the Iranian diplomat, “and [they] are willing to continue their anti-humane crimes anywhere at any time without any consideration or commitment.”

“The Islamic Republic of Iran will stand by the people of Afghanistan, as always, to counter this sinister phenomenon of inhumanity,” reassured the foreign ministry spokesman.
