TEHRAN, Jun. 16 (MNA) – Bahram Ghasemi, the Spokesperson of Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, strongly denounced the terrorist attack of Thursday hitting a mosque in western outskirts of Kabul.

Bahram Ghasemi, the Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman, categorically condemned Kabul terrorist attack of Thursday extending symapathies to the people and government of Afghanistan along with the bereaved families of the victims.

“At a night in the holy month of Ramadan, the hired terrorists desecrated the respect of the divine month and attacking prayers in the house of God (mosque) went to the battle with Muslims under the name of Islam to prove how the perpetrators, commissioners, and agents of terror, violence, death, and murder violate the borders of ethics and religion with their thirst for the human blood,” asserted the Iranian diplomat.

Ghasemi attributed the recent wave of attacks to the latest heavy defeats of ‘extremist terrorists, especially ISIL’ in Iraq and Syria which have pushed them to put creating blind and scattering insecurity across the region on the top of their agenda.

“The repetitive terrorist attacks in Afghanistan shows that this oppressed country and its downtrodden people are among the chaotic targets of the terrorists,” affirmed the Iranian diplomat.

Ghasemi called upon all pro-peace and benevolent governments and nations of the region to be more watchful in these days for more cooperation and coordination to counter these kinds of savagery.
