TEHRAN, May 22 (MNA) – Head of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani will depart for the Russian capital on Tue. to attend International Meeting of High Representatives for Security Issues.

The Iranian senior official is also scheduled to hold talks with a number of Russian officials on the sidelines of the security summit.

During the meeting headed by National Security Council of the Russian Federation, Ali Shamkhani will discuss the security, political and economic developments in region and present strategies and experiences of the Islamic Republic of Iran for creating common grounds with participating countries for combating terrorism.

Also on Shamkhani’s agenda is holding discussions and consultations aimed at advancing common political, military and security initiatives with present countries in the summit, particularly Iran’s allies in fighting terrorism.
