TEHRAN, May 22 (MNA) – Iranian short films “The Guy Came On Horseback” and “Born in Mordad” won awards at the 2nd edition of 16 International Film Festival (16IFF) hosted in Indian city of Jaipur.

As many as 23 films from 12 countries in 13 languages were screened during the second edition of the Sixteen International Film Festivals (16IFF) organized by Jaipur International Film Festival-JIFF in India at Golcha Cinema from 17 to 21 May, 2017.

This film festival is based on 16 subjects: Democracy, politics, corruption, horror films, romantic films, women films, children films, animations, ad films, etc.

“The Guy Came On Horseback” by Iranian filmmaker Hossein Rabiei Dasrjerdi won Best Love and Romantic Short Film and “Born in Mordad” by Farzad Rahmani won Best Women and Children Short Film award at the festival.

The first edition of 16IFF granted awards to five Iranian films including “The Return” by Mohammed Amin Hamedani, “The Heritage” by Abbas Khosrogerdi and Manizheh Seraj, “Shakhovan” by Mahtab Sedaghat, “Confined Space”by Siamak Ahmadi, and “Seven Stanza” Mojgan Nikravesh.
