TEHRAN, May 18 (MNA) – FM Spokesman addressed certain domestic concerns over the UNESCO 2030 Agenda, saying Iran's principled and immutable position is non-compliance with any goals that go against the country’s religious and cultural values.

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi stressed that all governmental bodies, particularly the Foreign Ministry, will never submit to anything that is even slightly contrary to religious, moral, social, and Islamic values and beliefs of the country.

“In all international cases, the Foreign Ministry has never been indifferent to issues, documents, and bilateral, trilateral and international agreements that could be contrary to moral and religious values of the Islamic Republic,” he added.

Ghasemi went to clarify, “no part of the UNESCO 2030 Agenda that is opposed to our cultural, religious, social and moral values will ever be implemented. Iran has no commitment to their implementation, and its principled and immutable stance has been declared officially to UNESCO and inscribed in the organization’s official website.”
