The official said the incumbent government has implemented 73 projects reiterating that they have been either launched or are ready for implementation as no more projects are pending or stagnant.

Karbasian said avoiding raw sales was a major policy and objective of the government also emphasized by the Leader saying “extensive and detailed planning has been carried out in this regard one of the most notable measured pertaining to iron ore sector as exports of the mineral product has declined drastically from the 23 million tons in 2013 thanks to completion of the production chain by development of iron ore and pellet plants.”

“In view of present conditions, completion of supply chain is anticipated to bring balance to production of iron ore, concentrate, pellets and sponge iron and put an end to raw sales in the mining sector.”

IMIDRO CEO reiterated that if negligible amounts of raw sales are still observed in certain sectors, the reason goes back to lack of economic justifiability for investment leaving raw sales as the only remaining solution.
