The second round of Karate1 Premier League kicked off on Friday March 17 and came to an end on March 19 in Rotterdam of the Netherlands where Iranian karateka bagged three bronze medals in Kata and Kumite divisions.
Competing in -75 weight category, Iran’s Ebrahim Hassanbeigi pulled out a 4-3 victory against Hsu Wei-Chun of Chinese Taipei in the third-place match to stand on the third podium.
Iran’s second bronze trophy was received by Zabihollah Poursheib overcame Ibrahim Nantumi of Saudi Arabia 1-0 in the repechage round of -84kg group.
Tally of medals for Iran was promoted once Sajad Ganjzadeh downed Estonia’s Tanel Paabo 4-1 in the repechage round of +84kg weight category and landed third overall.
