TEHRAN, Mar. 19 (MNA) – On the occasion of new Iranian year ‘Nowruz’, a direct flight has been launched between Iran’s Kermanshah and Sharjah of Dubai.

General Manager of Shahid Ashrafi Esfahani Airport (KSH) Mojtaba Bayati said the first flight of Kermanshah-Sharjah was performed today at 12:00 p.m. by Air Arabia airline.

“The flights on the new route have been specifically scheduled for Nowruz holidays as ten plane trips will be performed until April 04,” he continued.

The official stressed that the flight path will remain active in case it is welcomed by passengers.

Bayati underlined that Kermanshah Airport is currently offering air trips to seven domestic destinations including Shiraz, Mashhad, Tehran, Kish Island, Qeshm, Asaluyeh and Bandar Abbas.

“In the past 11 months, a total of 4,716 domestic and foreign flights have been performed in Shahid Ashrafi Esfahani Airport of Kermanshah,” noted the official pointing to a 24% growth in the number of flights as compared to the corresponding period a year ago.
