The style of this military presence has evolved and escalated, developing into a frequent raid of homes of people whose names were included in a wanted list. The security forces have employed the use of various weapons (of medium size) in residential neighborhoods, which have incurred human and material losses.
On March 11, 2017, armored vehicles belonging to Saudi security forces were seen at 9:57 am next to the Roundabout of Al Reef neighborhood heading to the historic Mosawara district which the authorities are planning to demolish. After less than five minutes, additional support of armor vehicles arrived to tighten the ring on all the neighborhood outlets. At 10:15 am another RPJ Missile was launched targeting the same home. Then Al Reef roundabout was closed by armored vehicles to stop the traffic flow.
At 10:30 am, the armors began to withdraw gradually. The attack resulted in the death of a child, Waleed Talal AlOrayedh, who died after being rushed to hospital today with bullet wounds. The attack also caused severe damage to the property of the people of the neighborhood including their houses and vehicles.
