TEHRAN, Feb. 27 (MNA) – President Hassan Rouhani has received Indonesian Minister of Economy Darmin Nasution in Tehran.

Mr. Rouhani told the meeting Iran would welcome improving ties with Indonesia, a Southeast Asian country with largest Muslim population. He believed both sides should work to accelerate the pace of implementation of deals signed before; “this will contribute to national interests of both countries; Iranian companies are ready to grasp opportunities in Indonesian economic projects through exporting engineering services especially country’s oil refineries; electricity and power plant industry is an area where Iranian private sector would participate as well,” said the president. “We hail Indonesian contractors to our energy sector and would increase oil imports to the country.”

Mr. Nasution for his part voiced his country’s willingness to deepen economic ties with Iran; “Indonesia welcomes joint projects in Iran’s oil field development; Iranian companies are welcome to Indonesian construction projects in oil sector,” he added.

He also believed that banking sector would also provide an area of cooperation; “Jakarta and Tehran have hit good deals in banking cooperation and we will work to raise our imports of Iranian oil,” he briefly said.
