Iranian Deputy Oil Minister for International Affairs Amir Hossein Zamaninia referred to Iran’s oil negotiations with OPEC and non-OPEC countries for better management of the crude market saying “the country will continuously hold talks with all oil producers inside and outside the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) in a bid to improve conditions of the market.”
The official said talks were also conducted in Tehran on Tuesday morning between Iran and Oman over oil market issues asserting “in line with the core policy, Oil Minister of Venezuela and Nelson Martinez and the Foreign Minister of the Latin American country Delcy Rodriguez will land in the Iranian capital in closing hours of Thursday.”
Zamaninia emphasized that the upcoming dialogue between Tehran and Caracas will definitely revolve around better implementation of the recent Vienna oil agreement between OPEC and non-OPEC members on curtailing crude output.
Iran and Venezuela have age-old history of membership in OPEC and, in recent years, several bilateral negotiations have been held between officials of the two countries in line with enhancing conditions in the crude oil market.
