Total kicks off South Pars phase 11 development

TEHRAN, Feb. 02 (MNA) – The NIOC Deputy MD Manouchehri recounted the latest negotiations between National Iranian Oil Company and Total S.A. Oil and Gas Company for developing phase 11 of Iran’s South Pars gas field.

“The French company has already started its operations in development project of phase 11 of Iran’s South Pars oil and gas field,” said Gholamreza Manouchehri, the NIOC (National Iranian Oil Company) Deputy MD (Managing Director) for Development and Engineering, on Wednesday after recounting the negotiations between the NIOC and Total S.A. Oil and Gas Company for cooperation on upstream section, manufacturing of equipment, drilling, engineering, and off-coast services.

Manouchehri asserted that the MD of the NIOC has held numerous meetings with some representatives of the 60 French companies who accompanied the French FM to Tehran. He maintained that talks with Total S.A. were focused on engineering cooperation.

Recounting that the NIOC and Total S.A. Oil and Gas Company had reached the Heads of Agreement (HOA) in November, Manouchehri noted that NIOC is after improving the speed and quality of drilling in Iranian rigs.
