Iranians competed with inventors from 20 countries including Poland, hosting Thailand, China, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Lebanon, UAE, Egypt, and Switzerland.
A group of two inventors Saeid Zarezadeh and Ramin Aghebati won three silvers and a single bronze. Their notable inventions included an anti-microbial herbal wound healing numb for diabetic ulcers by Ramin Aghebati. A second invention was precast concrete which won for the group a bronze.
Yet a more sophisticated invention was a system to generate electricity using gravitational force and its interaction with a floating object in the water. The invention brought a silver to the group.
Masoud Tajbakhsh of Inventors Federation Office in Iran also presented the competition with a number of other inventions by Iranians which was a success and won a gold, 8 silvers, and a bronze medals. The gold-mining invention was prosthetic hands and feet; other inventions were innovations in medicine, environment, road traffic, water purification, etc. which won silvers for Iranian camp. Automatic hair-clipper also won a bronze in the closing day of the event.
The 20th Thailand Inventor’s day (TID) will be held from February 2nd to February 6th in 2017 in Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC).
