As the official website of the event reports, the Conference will be emphasizing on alternative fuels, CNG, diesel, DME, hybrid, dual fuel, electrical, etc. Mohsen Mashayekhi, Head of Permanent Secretariat of CNG told a press conference on Wednesday that a guild had been established to organize all issues of the professionals and the industry; “the first CNG secretariat was inaugurated in 2007 and first conference came in 2008; the Policy Council delegated an expert panel to address the establishment of the guild,” he told the press.
“The secretariat was approved by the Ministry of Trade in June 2016; the election for Board of Directors had been planned for January 18, however, it faced a technical glitch; in March 2017 the Board of Directors will be elected,”Mashayekhi detailed.
Still in the press conference, Khalil Asgari, the deputy-head of the permanent secretariat downplayed the establishment of the guild as not an outstanding success; “the industry had served the country far more than the investment it received; the guild demands more support from the higher officials; the CNG would solely save the motor vehicle fuel across the country; we call all the individuals engaged in the industry to join the guild to form a strong union community,” he added.
The conference will focus on alternative fuels in transportation sector and activation of legal capacities to develop alternative fuels, to which a number of MPs will also contribute.
Ministry of trade, Energy, Department of Environment, Unions’ Chamber, Oil Industry Research Center, and other organizations will be among the sponsors of the event.
