TEHRAN, Dec. 05 (MNA) – AEOI Head Ali Akbar Salehi expressing serious concern over extension of Iran Sanctions Act (ISA) in Congress, called for commitment to JCPOA and stopping the enforcement of the bill.

Salehi made the remarks in a meeting with US Secretary of Energy Ernest Jeffrey Moniz on Sunday evening in Vienna.

Pointing to the Islamic Republic of Iran's full commitment to all obligations under JCPOA confirmed by IAEA and expressing Iran's severe protest and serious concern over ISA extension in Congress and affirming the Islamic Republic's right for any appropriate response, Salehi called for US commitment to its obligations under JCPOA, especially to prevent the enforcement of the bill.

In the meeting, Moniz, for his part, while stressing that he would deliver Iran's protest to the US president, said the United States would adhere to its obligations and President Obama would use his authority to prevent the enforcement of all parts of the law in conflict with JCPOA.

Heading a technical and experts delegations, Salehi departed Tehran for Vienna on Sunday to attend the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) International Conference on Nuclear Security slated for December 5-9.
