State Secretary at Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia Darja Bavdaž Kuret who is visiting Tehran for the second round of bilateral political consultations met with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for European and American Affairs Majid Takht-Ravanchi late on Wednesday.
Referring to the decision of Slovenian President Borut Pahor to visit Tehran and the upcoming opening of Slovenian embassy to Tehran, Darja Bavdaž Kuret reassured that Ljubljana is determined to improve bilateral relations and cooperation with Tehran.
The Iranian diplomat, for his part, welcomed the expansion of bilateral ties between Tehran and Ljubljana and stressed on developing banking relations as a necessity for developing trade and economy cooperation between the two countries.
The implementation of the JCPOA (the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action), regional issues like the Syrian and Yemeni crises, and the latest developments in Balkan were the other issues discussed by the two sides.
