TEHRAN, Oct. 26 (MNA) – Iran’s Defense Minister Hossein Dehghan said Wed. wherever anti-terrorist operations are on the verge of success, the US utilizes its human rights discourse to rescue ISIL and al-Nusra terrorists.

Brig. Gen. Hossein Dehghan pointed to the recent developments in Iraq and Syria in the fight against terrorism, adding “the establishment and spread of the scope of terrorism and extremism is merely a front to preserve the Zionist regime and retain instability and lack of tranquility by maintaining their dominating presence in the region.”

He went on to add, “the US and its regional and transregional allies on the one hand profess humanitarian agendas and on the other hand, give the green light to terrorist groups affiliated with them, such as the al-Nusra Front, to prevent civilians from exiting military zones.”

“They use civilians as human shields, disrupt the anti-terrorist operations of Syrian Army, and thus, guarantee the survival of terrorists,” he added.

“Meanwhile, one of the main concerns and priorities of commanders of the Resistance Front has always been to rescue civilians and provide them with exit routes,” Dehghan said, adding “the Resistance has saved thousands of innocent lives by helping people out of conflict zones.”

The Iranian defense minister further called for a stop to US and its allies’ support for terrorism, as well as their sinister plot to split countries in region. He stressed recognition of legitimate governments and lending them support in the fight against terrorism.

Dehghan also highlighted the need for providing conditions for holding internal dialogues which he believed to be the requirement for putting an end to this crisis.
