TEHRAN, Oct. 24 (MNA) – Head of the Judiciary has strongly rejected that Judiciary has been the subject of cruel charges that it closes the cases without necessary formalities and proper judicial processes.

Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani who was addressing a meeting of Judiciary high-ranking officials on Monday, commemorated the former head of the Assembly of Experts Ayatollah Mohammad Reza Mahdavi Kani, whom head of the Judiciary described as a valuable character for the Islamic Republic; “in a discussion of supervision over Leader, Ayatollah Mahdavi Kani had told the Assembly in a memorable remark that when Constitution asserts the supervision, it meant merely ‘supporting the Leader,’ and that it would not mean absolutely questioning the Leader on matters of policy and national issues, which was source of consternation to some specific circles,” Amoli Larijani told the meeting about an issue of controversy among different political leanings from left and right over the critical issue of the leadership of the system.

Ayatollah Amoli Larijani then turned to the issue of closure of lawsuits which had found coverage in the media quite recently. He responded that the Judiciary had been acting with more resolve as they intensified the onslaught; “quite inaccurate reports and stories are published in the media about the court cases; in millions of cases, the courts honestly hear and the necessary processes are underway; however, in some few cases, some media would not spare any moment to vitiate the Leader and the Judiciary by inaccurate and unfounded reports and claims,” he emphasized, “the Judiciary head is invested with no legal right to close any case unilaterally and no such story has come to be true in any time.”

Ayatollah Amoli Larijani believed that such onslaught on the Judiciary, mounted by an enemy media, was in line with their similar cases of tarnishing the face of the Islamic Establishment through pretexts of human rights; “this is a second pretext where they seek the same objectives of pounding the system, and receive their ammunition from the anti-Revolutionary circles where inaccurate and distorted information is fed into the public mentality; their criticism targets the Islamic nature of the system since they oppose such a system,” concluded Judiciary head.
