TEHRAN, Oct. 19 (MNA) – FM Spokesperson Bahram Ghasemi has appreciated the UN announcement that a three-day ceasefire in Yemen will go into effect on Wednesday night.

Iranian Foreign Minister Spokesman Bahram Ghasemi made the remarks expressing hope that all parties, especially Saudi Arabia-led coalition will remain committed to the three-day ceasefire.

The official further urged all warring parties in Yemen to allow immediate delivery of humanitarian aid to the oppressed people of Yemen and war victims, including those injured in the recent attacks on Sana’a.

He outlined the humanitarian situation in Yemen as very catastrophic and emphasized the need for continuous effort on the part of all parties to put an end to the unavailing war.

In a statement on Monday, the office of the UN's special envoy for Yemen said Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed had received assurances from all Yemeni parties of their recommitment to the ceasefire.
