Speaking during an interview with Mehr News Agency, Amir-Abdollahian pointed to Al Saud’s last week attack on a funeral ceremony in Sana’a saying “Saudis thought they will win the war on Yemen in a few weeks; in practice because of resistance by Ansar Allah and its allies, they realized after about a year and a half that conditions are turning up deteriorating for them.”
“All political efforts Saudis were behind to grab at negotiating tables what they had not earned on the battlefield against innocent people of Yemen, have faced failure,” he added.
As a result, he underlined, Al Saud along with United States of America are looking at measures like last week's attack in Sana'a, to impose terror and fear and force Ansar Allah Movement and Yemen’s political leaders to surrender for the demands of Saudi Arabia and the US.
The recent attacks in Sana'a can be discussed in the same framework, however, certainly it has the opposite effect on Yemen’s society further encouraging them to be resistant against aggressors, Amir-Abdollahian asserted.
Pointing to the role of US and the Zionist regime behind the scenes of recent crimes in Sana'a, Iranian official said “the Saudis were not basically able to start and manage a war in the region; Saudi Arabia's attack on Yemen kicked off with logistic and intelligence support of the US, and the Zionist regime is also involved pursuing its own goals.”
Amir-Abdollahian regreted that stupid rulers of Saudi Arabia have been deceived by the US and the Zionist regime and will be caught in Yemen’s swamp.
He also noted the silence of the international community and the human rights organizations against crimes in Yemen committed by Saudi Arabia and said “unfortunately, the United Nations with Ban Ki-moon’s confession proved they have caught in the coalition of the Zionists and the Al Saud, refusing to act according to their duties.”
