TEHRAN, Sep. 25 (MNA) – Iran’s national men’s beach wrestling team will depart Tehran for Da Nang to take part in the wrestling competition at the 5th Asian Beach Games.

The Asian Beach Games, held by the Olympic Council of Asia, is a multi-sport event held every two years among athletes representing 45 National Olympic Committees from Asia while the 2016 edition will be hosted by Vietnam.

In the wrestling division, each participating country can only take part in a maximum of three Men events and three Women events and only one athletes per event.

Accordingly, Iran’s wrestling squad to compete at the sportive event comprises Mohammad Naderi (-70kg), Omid Hassantabar (-80kg) and Seyyed Mohammad Sadati (-90kg) who are led by Fardin Masoumi.

Around 3,500 athletes from 45 Asian Nations are expected to compete in 14 sports in the fifth edition of the Asian Beach Games.

Wrestling competition for the 5th Asian Beach Games 2016 will be held in the coastal city of Da Nang in the central Vietnam from September 30th to October 2nd 2016.
