RIO DE JANEIRO, Sep. 17 (MNA) – Iranian sitting volleyball players defeated host Brazil in three straight sets in semi-final match at the fifteenth Summer Paralympic Games.

The Iranian team, who is competing in Men's Preliminaries Pool B, trounced Brazil 27-25, 25-19, 25-17 and made its way into the semi-final.

The Iranian outfit will take on Bosnia and Herzegovina on Sunday. The two teams had previously competed against one another in London Paralympics where Bosnia defeated Iran.

The Mina delegation of Iranian Paralympians at the Rio Paralympics is comprised of 111 sportspeople who are competing at athletics, powerlifting, Men and Women’s sitting volleyball, archery, shooting, judo, football, 5-a-side football, wheelchair basketball, swimming, sailing, cycling as well as 7-a-sife football.

The 2016 Rio Paralympics will conclude on Sep. 18.
