Hujjatuleslam Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi who was speaking in the mourning ceremony of the martyrdom of Imam Muhammad Baqir (as) on Friday, said that “Today, the evil and accursed lineage of the House of Saud is the strategic extension of hegemony policies and the devil sect in our region.”
“The evil and accursed lineage of the House of Saud, is the extension of Umayyad cursed lineage in 61 AH (680 AD), which marked ashura. We are not speaking about an incompetent and unworthy government, but an about an accursed and wicked regime that has stood shamelessly against Muslims, and slaughters in Yemen, Syria, Iraq and Bahrain,” he told the ceremony.
“The Islamic Revolution is the extension of ghadeer and ashura trend, a school of thought whose mentor and teacher was Prophet Muhammad (as) and its second teacher was Imam Ali (as), and infallible imams who like blazing suns, showed the path of thralldom and freedom to humanity,” member of the Supreme Council of Khorasan Seminary School reiterated, calling the contention between the evil and pure lineage, the struggle between righteousness and wickedness in the history of Islam.
“In response to those who say do not combine politics with prayers, we should say that how prayers can be considered apolitical, when we read in the ashura prayer: ‘I am in peace with someone who is at peace with you, and at war with someone who is at war with you, and a friend to someone who loves you, and the enemy to someone who hates you’, or in the Jame’e Kabireh prayer we read, ‘whatever you consider right I count it right and whatever you consider false, I abolish it,’” he asserted.
“Discourse, conduct, and the path of the Infallible Imams (as) is identical, and as mentioned in the precious book of the Supreme Leader, we can consider the Infallible Imams as a 250-year-old human” Raeisi reiterated.
He then pointed to the martyrdom of Imam Muhammad Baqir (as), expressing that most traditions in Islam were related to the Imam Muhammad Baqir (as) and Imam Sadiq (as); “scientific jihad based on Islamic principles and values are from the teachings of the practical conduct of Imam Muhammad Baqir (as).”
