TEHRAN, Aug. 23 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif met and talked with President of the Council of State of Cuba Raúl Castro.

Iran’s Zarif and Castro of Cuba, in a meeting, discussed venues for expansion of bilateral ties as well as Middle Eastern and international issues.

Strengthening of economic relations and holding of the next Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement in Venezuela were among the other axes of talks during the joint meeting.

Mohammad Javad Zarif had previously met with Cuban Vice President Ricardo Cabrisas Ruíz exchanging views on promotion of economic cooperation between the two sides.

For the second leg of his Latin American tour, Zarif is expected to depart for Nicaraguan capital Managua.
