TEHRAN, Jul. 27 (MNA) – Iranian freestylers Hassan Rahimi and Parviz Hadi have been named the world’s second and third best athletes in the in the latest UWW pre-Olympic freestyle rankings for July 2016.

The 26-year-old freestyle wrestler Hassan Rahimi won the second ranking spot of the 57-kilogram weight class, standing behind Vladimir Khinchegashvili of Georgia.

Yowlys Bonne Rodriguez of Cuba, Jong Hak-jin from North Korea, Mongolia’s Erdenebat Bekhbayar as well as Russian freestyle wrestler Ismail Musukaev landed in the third to the sixth places.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Parviz Hadi has been placed in third place of 125kg weight sections of the latest world rankings after Geno Petriashvili of Georgia and Russia’s Bilyal Makhov who ranked first and second, respectively.

Also, Hassan Yazdani reversed a loss to Khetik Tsabolov of Russia in the finals of the Medved Prizes in February with a technical fall win at the World Cup to leap to No.4 in the rankings with a perfect 4-0 record in Los Angeles.
