Li Minghua, Deputy Director of the State Archives Administration of the People's Republic of China and Seyed Reza Salehi-Amiri, the Head of Board of Trustees for National Library and Archives Organization of Iran (NLAI) signed an MoU in Beijing on Tuesday.
The news was released by the Public Relations office of NLAI giving details that Seyed Reza Salehi Amiri who headed the Iranian delegation arrived in Chinese capital city of Beijing on Monday.
According to the issued communiqué, the agreement includes five articles in areas of exchanging information, experts, and masters, along with holding joint conferences, running joint research projects, and holdng exhibitions.
The two sides also vowed in the MoU to be cooperative in sharing documents and the technology to preserve archive articles.
During his stay in Beijing, Salehi Amiri also met with his counterpart, Han Yongjin, the Director of the National Library of China (NLC), and kept each other’s company in opening the “Beautiful Iran”, an exhibition that showcases the natural beauty, historical sites and wondrous scenery of Iran.
The Iranian official is also scheduled to meet with Luo Shugang, the Minister of Culture of the People's Republic of China.
In January 2016, the National Library and Archives of Iran (NLAI) had hosted an exhibition of photos showcasing the natural beauty and magnificent scenery of China dubbed as “Beautiful China.”
The opening of “Beautiful China” was attended by the Minister of the State Council Information Office of China Jiang Jianguo who was accompanied by Chinese media delegation.
