TEHRAN, Apr. 09 (MNA) – A high-ranking delegation of academics and university presidents have visited University of Tehran’s president and professors.

The delegation included Federico Cinquepalmi, Italian Minister of Education, Universities and Research, General Directorate for International Research (MIUR), President of University of Pavia, Prof. Gian Battista Parigi, and Italian cultural attaché of University of Tehran, Mr. Mahmoud Nili Ahmadabadi received the delegation, who discussed modes of cooperation, exchange of experiences and students, online courses, and joint research projects between Iranian and Italian universities.

Mr. Cinquepalmi highlighted the necessity of cultural communications between Italy and Iran and current excellent capacities to achieve modest level of cooperation. Mr. Nili Ahmadabadi welcomed Italian universities’ interest in mutual cooperation with the University of Tehran as the first and oldest university of the country and the ideal choice for the elite students seeking higher education.

“University of Tehran has a few cases of past cooperation with Italian universities; we believe that systematic contacts and exchanges would bestow benefits and positive outcomes for universities and the society at large,” he told Italian delegation.
