For Assembly of Experts election, there are 31 main electoral districts and 1031 secondary constituencies, while for the Parliamentary elections, there are 207 main electoral districts and 855 secondary ones.
54,915,024 Iranians are eligible to vote. People born on 26 Feb. 1998 will have their first time voting in the country’s elections. Their population for this round of elections stands at 3,088,300.
Provinces of Tehran, Razavi Khorasan, Khuzestan, Isfahan, Fars and East Azerbaijan have the most voting-eligible population in the country.
Under article 8 of the electoral law, representatives of Parliament require at least 25 percent of the votes to be legitimate for entering the 290-seat parliament, while no quorum is set for candidates of jurisprudential experts.
60,000 ballot boxes have been allocated for the Parliamentary elections and 60,000 others for the Assembly of Experts elections.
There are 52,000 polling stations for this round of elections in each one of which there are one member from the monitoring committee, one representative from the governorate, one inspector and two police officers, as well as a representative for the election candidates.

Appreciating the efforts by all executive and administrative bodies of the government for holding the elections Rahmani Fazli said “voting is a right and we have to protect the right today by providing a tranquil and precise election.”

The ballot boxes open across the Islamic Republic of Iran where nearly 55 million Iranians are eligible to vote for their candidates to win the seats in the Parliament and the Assembly of Experts.
