KIEV, Feb. 13 (MNA) – The 10-wrestler squad of Iran in Kiev International Wrestling Tournament vies for 3 gold and 3 bronze medals in the final day of the event.

On the first day of Kiev International wrestling tournament, Iranian freestyler Peyman Yarahmadi reached the final round of in the 74-kilogram division.

Also Iranian Greco-Roman wrestlers Azim Garmsiri (71 kg), and Mehdi Fallah reached the final round of 71-kilogram and 80-kilogram weight categories.

Three other Greco-Roman practitioners of Iran’s squad, Farshad Belfakeh (71-kilogram weight category), Mostafa Salehizadeh (98-kilogram weight category), and Davoud Gilnirang (98-kilogram weight category),  went to the repechage round.

Expectedly at the end of the two day tournament on Sunday, Iranians will bag some medals home as three of them are to fight at the final round and three of them at the repechage round.
