TEHRAN, Jan. 30 (MNA) – Iranian male shooter reaches finals of Men's 10-meter Air Rifle at Asia Olympic Qualifying Competition for Shooting.

The Men’s 10-meter Air Rifle section of the 2016 Asian Olympic Shooting Qualifying Tournament was held with Iran’s Pouria Norouzian gaining 621.8 points in tough competitions against 46 shooters reaching the finals as the fourth athlete.

The other Iranian representatives, Mohammad Hossein Karimi (627.2 points) and Hossein Bagheri (617.8 points) stood in the 16th and 19th places, respectively.

A total of two Rio Olympic quotas are distributed in the 10-meter Air Rifle while India, South Korea and China have already received their tickets.

Meanwhile, competing at Women's 25 m Pistol event, Iran’s Golnoosh Sebghatollahi had reached the finals of the event finishing fourth in the overall ranking finding her way to the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio.

Bringing together a total of 531 athletes from 30 Asian countries, Asia Olympic Qualifying Competition for Shooting is being held in New Delhi, India between January 27 and February 3.
