TEHRAN, Jan. 14 (MNA) – ‘Mamiro,’ produced by Seyed Reza Mohaghegh and Majid Barzegar will participate in the main competitive section of Pune International Film Festival (PIFF) in India.

The India participation comes after success in Busan Film Festival, South Korea and Indian Kerala Film Festival, where it stole the spotlight and the standing ovation of the general audience.

Dr. Jabbar Patel, the festival chairman, said that the larger applause to the film overwhelmed him by a tantalization that the film should be in this edition of PIFF. “‘Mamirou’ coming to the festival would provide a great opportunity for the public audience to see and appreciate the artistic merits of the film,” he had been quoted as saying.

The 14th PIFF will be held January 14-21 in Pune, India. Reza Mohaghegh believed the selection of the film was a good event for the film after success in Busan, Sao Paolo, and Kerala, which would bring about further accolade in current edition of domestic Fajr International Film Festival.
