TEHRAN, Dec. 01 (MNA) – Director of Iranian Football Federation’s Medical committee was granted the bronze service award at the 5th AFC Medical Conference in New Delhi, India.

Held on the sidelines of the 5th AFC Medical Conference in New Delhi, India, the AFC Football Medicine Awards was designed to acknowledge and recognize the contribution of medical professionals to the development of football.

Iranian representatives at the ceremony were Medical Committee Chairman Tohid Seifbarghi, Medical Committee Director and the national football team physician Parhan Khanlari, Medical Committee Member Zohreh Haratian, national women team’s physiotherapist as well as physiotherapist of Persepolis football club Meysam Alipour.

As part of the seminar held on Monday evening, Iran’s Parhan Khanlari received AFC Distinguished Bronze Service Awards for 15 years dedicated service.

The AFC Annual Awards have evolved through the years since its inception in 1994; however, there were no awards under the Sports Medicine category.

The first AFC Medical Awards were held in New Delhi in conjunction with the 5th AFC Medical Conference 2015 which was an excellent platform to hold the award ceremony being a gathering of the football medical fraternity within Asia, in addition to delegates coming from FIFA and from the other football confederations.
