TEHRAN, Nov. 29 (MNA) – Tehran’s Museum of Contemporary Art (TMCA) signed an agreement with Italy’s MAXXI Museum.

Talking about the agreement, Majid Mola Norouzi, head of TMCA said that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was previously signed with Germany based on which an expo will be mounted in Berlin accommodating the treasures of Tehran Museum of Contemporary Arts. The center signed a MoU today with MAXXI according to which the same expo will be held in the Italian museum.

The expo will showcase 60 works of the treasures of Tehran Museum of Contemporary Arts; 30 of which are created by Iranian artists. It will be held in early 2017 and run for four months in Italy, he added.

He also said that MAXXI, National Museum of the 21st Century Arts of Rome, is the city’s most significant museum of contemporary arts and its works are also supposed to be displayed at Tehran’s Museum of Contemporary Art.

The expo will indeed be an opportunity to introduce and display works of Iranian artists as well as the Iranian museum, he added.
