Marzieh Afkham who was announcing Iran’s official position about the allegations on Wednesday, said that a country which had been killing Yemeni people in the past 7 months “is totally unqualified to judge other country’s role in Yemeni crisis.”
Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, Saudi Foreign Minister had recently criticized Iran’s conduct in Yemen as interfering into the country’s internal affairs. In response to such remarks which Iran believed were baseless, Afkham emphasized that Saudi Arabia was in no place to criticize the third party role in Yemen, since “its very conduct in Yemen which has been air strikes and destroying the country’s infrastructures and killing innocent civilians including children and women disqualifies the kingdom from playing the role of an insincere patron for Yemen.”
“The Islamic Republic of Iran had acted responsibly about all regional crises in Syria, Yemen, and Bahrain, proposing the best option for the conflicts; however, Saudis only played a destructive role instead, brining doom of these countries. Saudis should abandon their belligerent policies in these crises and help find political solutions in road to peace and stability in the whole region,” Afkham recommended.
