Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani met with Poland's Marshal of the Senate Bogdan Borusewicz on Saturday in Tehran.
In the joint press conference following the meeting, Larijani expressed delight with having the Polish official in Tehran.
He referred to the history of bilateral ties between Iran and Poland and reminded Iran’s hosting of 120,000 dislocated Polish refugees during the WWII.
In response to questions on recent Russian offensive against ISIL terrorists in Syria, he described it early to judge and postponed evaluation of Russians’ efficiency to a later time.
Further he added that Russians have consulted the attacks with the Islamic Republic of Iran, prior to any move.
For his part, Borusewicz appreciated his counterpart’s hospitality and invitation and called the bilateral relations positive and not affected by the politics of the world.
