TEHRAN, Sep. 14 (MNA) – The 5th International Pars Wushu Cup will be held with the attendance of 18 countries in Tehran next week.

The fifth International Pars Wushu Cup which has been registered on the calendar of the International Federation of Wushu will be held at the Azadi Sports Complex, Tehran on September 19-20, 2015.

19 teams from 18 countries will be taking part in this international event in both Taolu and Sanda sections.

A total of 200 Wushu coaches and athletes will be present in the tournament from various countries including Iran, America, Russia, Sweden, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, the Philippines, Turkmenistan, Vietnam and Afghanistan.

China which is scheduled to hold a friendly match with Iran’s national team in two weeks, will not take part in this event due to their ongoing national competitions.

Iran will fight against rivals with two teams and the national team’s technical staff will select the members of Iran’s national Wushu team by the end of this tournament.

Wushu World Championships will be held in the city of Jakarta, Indonesia on November 12 and the Iranian team will defend its vice-champion title against their opponents.
