TEHRAN, Aug. 24 (MNA) – An official of Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization told the reporters about an air agreement between Iran and Tajikistan.

Iran and Tajikistan agreed to cooperate in air transportation, said Morad Esmaeili, Director General for Legal and International Affairs of Iran Civil Aviation Organization, on Monday.

The official explained that Iranian and Tajik civil aviation officials signed a Memorandum of Understanding on air transport cooperation.

Morad Esmaeili said that heads of Iran and Tajikistan civil aviation organizations, agreed to increase the number of weekly air flights to 10.

He added that Aseman Airlines and Mahan Airlines from Iran and Tajik Air and Somon Air from Tajikistan were authorized to carry regular flights between the two countries.

According to the MoU, in addition to the regular flights, the authorized airlines may carry charter flights as well.
