TEHRAN, Jul. 11 (MNA) – Iranian deputy FM said Saudi's continued military attacks on defenseless people of Yemen emerges as the shame of the Islamic and Arab world.

Stressing that terrorism and Zionism are two sides of the same coin, Deputy FM for Arab-African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said that the principal mission of extremist and terrorist groups today is to loot the Islamic countries from their assets and destroy the resistance axis against the Zionist regime.

The official criticized the US and West double-standard treatment in instrumental use of terrorism, saying that it results in strengthening the Tel Aviv regime and further insecurity in the region.

The United Nations announced an unconditional weeklong humanitarian cease-fire in Yemen, where more than 80 percent of the country's 25 million people are believed to be in need of some form of emergency aid.

The truce order started on Friday, 10 July at 23:59 and was supposed to continue until the end of Ramadan. However, a few hours after UN-announced humanitarian truce in Yemen, Saudi Arabia resumed air attacks against Sanaa and some other cities of Yemen.
