TEHRAN, Jul. 02 (MNA) – The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is in Tehran to meet President Rouhani and Shamkhani of SNSC.

Yukia Amano’s visit to Tehran seeks more transparency about possible military dimensions (PMD) of Iran’s nuclear program. Mr. Amano met Rear. Adm. Ali Shamkhani, the Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council on Thursday morning; the visit is said to facilitate the points of discord between Iran and the 5+1 in Vienna.

On Wednesday, Mr. Amano issued a statement where he expounded the reasons behind this visit to Tehran. “During current visit, Amano of IAEA will visit president of the country and other high-ranking officials, to bring some level of transparency to possible military dimensions of Iran’s nuclear program and facilitating solution for important remaining issues between two sides,” said the statement.
