Association of Dubbers to Commemorate Jaleh Kazemi

TEHRAN April 9 (Mehr News Agency) –- The Association of Dubbers is to hold a ceremony to commemorate the late dubber Jaleh Kazemi on April 14 at Andisheh Cultural Center.

Jaleh Kazemi began dubbing at the age of 15 with the film “Caesar’s Banquet” in 1958, dubbing the major roles within 6 months. She has dubbed the roles of great actresses such as Elizabeth Taylor (“Who Is Afraid of Virginia Woolf? “and “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof”), Sophia Loren (“Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow,” and “Condemned of Altona”) , Julie Christie (Doctor Zhivago), and Barbara Streisand (“Funny Lady” and “What’s up Doc?”) and so many Iranian actresses.

 

She had also worked in several TV programs while she was holding her many painting exhibitions in Iran and the U.S. She died of cancer on March 31.
