Arbaeen ceremony in Yazd

YAZD, Jan. 15 (MNA) – Thousands of people in Yazd province participated in Arbaeen ceremonies on Saturday to commemorate the end of 40 days of mourning for the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (AS) his 72 companions on Ashura, the tenth day of Muharram, at the hands of the army of the caliph Yazid in 680 CE.
