Iranian Director Grabs UNESCO Avicenna Medal

Saberi who was invited by the head of UNESCO to Paris to stage her two plays “Mourning for Siyavosh” and “Flying Shams” at the UNESCO Theater Hall, grabbed the award for her long artistic activities in staging Iranian traditional texts.

Staged in memory of Bam’s quake victims, the two plays were highly acclaimed by Iranian and French audience.
