The winners of the festival in the international and national sections were announced during a ceremony at the Vahdat Hall on Sunday.
“Pandora 88” portrays two men who are trapped in a world inside a small lift and they are forced to live together as best they can –- climbing the walls, the roof and each other.
The winners of the festival’s International Section were announced as follows:
Festival Special Award: Reza Servati for “Wonder of Creatures” (Iran)
Best Director Award: Claudia Sorace for “(A+B)3” (Italy)
Best Playwright Award: Reza Guran for “Clouds behind Throat” (Iran)
Best Actress Award: Elina Reinold for “Antigone” (Estonia)
Best Actor Award: Masud Delkhah for “Routine” (Iran)
Best Music Composer: Antonio Pizzicato for “The Passion of the Trojan Women” (Italy)
Best Stage Designer: Siamak Ehsaii for “Letters to Thebes” (Iran)
At the ceremony, the stage veteran artists Mohammad-Ali Keshavarz, Farideh Sepah-Mansur, Mahmud Azizi and Yadollah Aqa-Abbasi were honored.
Then, the winners of the National Section of the festival were also announced:
Best Director Award: Hossein Pakdel for “Your Majesty”
Best Playwright Award: Arash Abbasi for “Lobby”
Best Actress Award: Atefeh Razavi for “Your Majesty”
Best Actor Award: Parviz Fallahipur “Lobby”
Best Stage Designer: Arvand Dasht-Aray for “Let’s Swing” and “Señora Carrar’s Rifles”
The 29th Fajr International Theater Festival was held from February 12 to 20 in Tehran.
