Short stories by Mastur to appear in Arabic

TEHRAN, Jan. 10 (MNA) -- Iranian translator Maryam Heidari has translated twelve short stories by the veteran Iranian author Mostafa Mastur into Arabic.

The stories were selected from different collections by Mastur and Heidari. The book will probably publish in Jordan and Algeria.

The stories are selected from “Several Valid Sayings About Love”, “The Pig’s Bone and Leprous Hands”, “Love on the Pavement”, “Tehran in Afternoon”, “I am not the Sparrow” and several other books.


U.S. museum to screen Iranian films

THERAN -- The High Museum of Art in Atlanta is holding a program called Iranian Film Today which will run until January 22.

“Payback” by Tahmineh Milani, “Heyran” by Shalizeh Arefpur, “Be Calm and Count to Seven” by Ramtin Lavafipur and “Tehrun” by Nader Takmil-Homayun and several other films are on screen at the event.

The program is sponsored by the Iranian film specialist Reza Sohrabi, who generously donated his time and expertise.


Iran’s museum of nations to be inaugurated in February

TEHRAN -- The museum of nations will be inaugurated at the Arg-e Azadi Complex in February.

Galleries will feature exhibits on China, Malaysia, Switzerland, Austria and 26 other countries.

The Arg-e Azadi is located on Azadi Avenue, Yadegar-e Imam Highway intersection, Azadi Ave.
