Not long ago Uruguay’s Parliament Speaker Ivonne Pasada expressed her country’s eagerness to make use of Iran’s experience and scientific advancement and noted that exchanging delegations between the two countries could expedite this process.
She said, “Uruguay wants to expand and deepen ties with the Islamic Republic of Iran in all fields, especially economy and trade.”
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad also referred to Uruguay as a key country and called for increasing relations with that state.
He said that the people of Uruguay are dear for the Iranian nation and government all efforts should be made to make relations between the two countries as cordial as possible.
