‘Iranians should maintain unity and shun extremism’

TEHRAN, March 13 (MNA) -- Tehran Friday prayers leader Ayatollah Mohammad Emami Kashani has stressed the need to maintain unity and uphold the values of the Islamic Revolution.

“At the time when the entire world is against the Islamic Revolution and Islamic society, we should try to maintain unity,” Ayatollah Kashani told worshipers in Tehran on Friday.

He also advised people not to magnify the problems of the system, because that would give the enemies a chance to chip away at the nation’s unity.

“We should try to discuss our problems unobtrusively so that the foreigners will not be able to take advantage of them,” he stated.

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has always underlined two important principles as the keys for success: unity and scientific advancements, Ayatollah Kashani noted.

He also called on the nation to maintain unity and to redouble their efforts to make scientific advancements and cautioned the people against extremism and detachment from reality.

Commenting on Germany’s arrest and sudden release of the leader of the PJAK terrorist group earlier this month, Ayatollah Kashani raised doubts about Berlin’s motive for releasing him.

“Why should the German government release a terrorist leader who had been operating against Iran? They only released him because he had been committing terrorist acts against the Islamic Republic,” he stated.
